Nepalis in India brief their problems with PM Deuba

On the first day of his visit, PM Deuba took part in an interaction where different Nepali organisations affiliated to various political parties briefed him about the problems Nepalis are facing in India.
Addressing the programme, PM Deuba, who is also the President of ruling Nepali Congress, said that Nepalis residing in India should work together to strengthen Nepal-India ties.
He hailed the role played by the Nepali community in development of Nepal while urging them to work as honorary ambassadors. He also urged them to work on strengthening the good Nepal-India ties while saying that Nepal-India ties is special due to open border among others.
On the occasion, the Nepalis asked the PM to help open bank accounts in India for Nepalis working in India with the documents provided by the embassy. They also call on the Indian side to take necessary steps to decrease the phone charge while calling from India to Nepal. They also urge the PM to take concrete steps to tame various criminal activities including trafficking, demanded to install CCTV in China and India border among others.
They also raised issues like problems facing by Nepali nursing students and Chartered Accountancy students in various Indian colleges, same and similar kind of insurance to Nepali working in India and other problem they are facing while working in India.
PM Deuba is staying at President Office as chief guest of the Indian President while some of the members of the delegation are kept in local five star hotel.
