Election Commission (EC) has sought clarification from Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar and Energy State Minister Amar Singh Pun within 24 hours over polls code violation.

Nepal Democratic Forum Chairman Gachhadar is charged of taking out a rally including over 100 motorcycles and 20 to 25 vehicles in Birgunj Metropolitan City. His party had taken out a rally to promote party candidate Shreewastav in the third phase of local level election.

EC Spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal said EC had sought clarification from Gachhadar following a complaint filed at EC office over the violation of polls code by Gachhadar and his party.

Likewise, State Minister Pun is charged of violating polls code by using governmental resources during election campaign in Simara sub-metropolitan city.
