At a time when Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar are facing humanitarian crisis for having to flee their country due to violence, the Muslims of Banke district have sought Nepal government to pile pressure on Myanmar to stop the genocide of Muslim minority group.
The protest rally that began from BP Chok in Nepalgunj ended at District Administration Office where a memorandum was submitted to Chief District Officer Ramesh KC.
Saying the violence is not a solution to anything, CDO KC expressed commitment to forward the memo to prime minister’s office.
