Nepal defeated Hong Kong by five wickets to win the U-19 Eastern Region Cricket competition in Malaysia on Sunday.
Winning toss and fielding first, Nepal bundled out Hong Kong for 76 runs and completed the run chase in 15 overs. Sandip Lamichhane and Sahab Alam claimed three wickets each for Nepal. Dipendra Singh Airee and Anil Sah also had one wicket each to their name.
Airee also contributed 22 runs during the run chase. Sandip Sunar and Pranit Thapa Magar both scored 19 each while Anil Sah scored 16.
The title has confirmed Nepal's participation in the U-19 Asia Cup.
