Police, gangsters exchange fire in Sinamangal

Based on information that local gangsters are gathering in the area, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) reached the site to make arrest.
As soon as the police team reached near to the gangsters, a group of three-four persons opened fire at the police, said SSP Dibesh Lohani. Police, in retaliation, opened fire and injured one of them.
SSP Lohani said that Gautam, a member of the gang of Chakre Milan, sustained bullet injuries on his leg.
He has been taken to the Trauma Centre of Bir Hospital.
Police said that they are searching for other gangsters.
“Gautam is one of the core persons of Chakre Milan,” SSP Lohani said, adding, “Other persons who have fled the scene are also the members of Chakre’s gang.”
