‘Keep services smooth during festival’

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has directed the concerned government agencies to ensure smooth public service delivery during the festival.
The CIAA summoned the government secretaries and representatives from different consumer-focused organisations to its office on Sunday and instructed them for taking all possible measures to prevent any untoward inconveniences to the people during the festival.
CIAA chief Deep Basnyat urged the concerned bodies to ensure smooth supply of quality foods and services to the public.
He insisted on the need of proper management of public vehicles and making sure that passengers are not cheated.
Commissioners Sabitri Thapa Gurung, Rajnarayan Pathak, Ganesh Raj Joshi and Nabin Ghimire underlined the need of launching integrated effort to make services effective and smooth.
Revenue Secretary Sishir Dhungana, Home Secretary Lok Darsan Regmi, Secretary Devendra Karki (Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport), Secretary Maheshwor Neupane ( Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation), and Officiating Secretary Mukunda Poudel (Ministry of Supplies) were among those present in the meeting.
