Pradhan, a 90s star, to make comeback

- Post Report, Kathmandu

Oct 11, 2017-Singer Punyam Pradhan, the vocalist for the iconic 90s band Pratibimbha, is slated to make his comeback in the Nepali music scene.

Pradhan is returning to the music scene after about a decade, he has been on a hiatus since the release of his solo album Portrait.

Pratibimbha is one of the pioneering bands of Nepal’s pop music scene. The band released their debut studio album, titled Pratibimbha-1, in 1991. The album included the song Kaha Timro Mayalu lai Chhadi Rakheu, a cult classic. The band went on to record three more albums.

But soon afterwards, after one of the bandmates left for abroad, the band dismantled. Punyam released a solo album, Portrait, in 2007, but then he too went abroad.

Now that Punyam is back in the country, he is soon slated to release another solo album, which will feature some new songs and renditions of old songs. The album, yet to be titled, will comprise seven songs in total. Punyam is also planning to shoot a music video for the song Jiya Jale.
