Maoist Centre takes action against 4 rebel candidates
The CPN (Maoist Center) has taken disciplinary action against four rebel candidates of the party in Salyan and Humla districts.The CPN (Maoist Center) has taken disciplinary action against four rebel candidates of the party in Salyan and Humla districts. The party has also taken action against six others for proposing and seconding their candidacies.
In a statement issued on Thursday in the name of CPN (Maoist Centre) Province 6 in-charge, party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the party has revoked membership of Uma Kanta Sharma, Chakka Bahadur Lama, Bhim Prakash Sharma and Jit Bahadur Pun for filing independent nominations against the leftist alliance's candidates. The party has also suspended Pramod Shrestha, Shalik Ram Bhattarai, Seti Ram Oli, Hari Lal DC, Tanka Dhakal and Kirti Bahadur Rana for proposing and seconding the candidates.
Uma Kanta, Chakka Bahadur and Bhim Prakash are politburo members while seven others are the member of party's organising committee. Action against the rebel candidates was recommended by the party's Province 6 office.
