Three including two cops injured in Bhojpur explosion

Three persons, including two police personnel, were injured when a roadside bomb exploded in Bhojpur district.

Police said UML's Youth Association Nepal secretariat member Bikram Rai, 33, was injured when the bomb exploded at Shadananda Municipality. He was returning from an election assembly in Dingla. He has received injuries to his head and preparations are being made to airlift him to Kathmandu for further treatment.

Police said Inspector Dev Narayan Yadav and sub-inspector Umesh Mehta were also injured they were hit by shrapnel while clearing the explosive. The injured personnel are being brought to district headquarters for treatment.

Meanwhile, another bomb exploded during leftist alliance assembly at Kulung in Northern Salpasilicho-2 of the district. The bomb exploded some 100 meters from the assembly venue. No one was injured in the explosion.
