Cadres of Madhesi Alliance and Nepali Congress (NC) clashed in separate victory rallies in Rautahat on Sunday afternoon.

Police fired three rounds of bullet in air and eight shells of tear gas to disperse the agitators following a clash after NC cadres hurled stones at a victory rally of Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal candidate Raj Kishor Prasad Yadav elected from Rautahat Province 2 'B', said Rautahat Police DSP Yagya Binod Pokharel.

The police did not divulge the details and list of the injured during the incident.

Likewise, another clash ensued between a house owner and NC cadres in Mansari of Isnath Municipality-8. The clash took place after one house nearby the victory celebration spot caught fire as NC cadres were using firecrakers for celebrations.

A team of police reached the site of the incident and dispersed the crowd and doused the fire before it could cause significant damage.
