Maoist Centre chief Dahal shifts to Khumaltar

Dec 17, 2017-Former prime minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has moved to Khumaltar in Lalitpur. The Dahal family shifted to Khumaltar of Lalitpur Metropolis-15 on Friday, his secretariat confirmed. 

According to sources within the Dahal family, the Maoist chief’s spouse Sita Dahal had been demanding that they moved from the Lazimpat house where they lived for five years. Dahal had shifted to Lazimpat from his previous residence in Naya Bazar for security reasons on the advice of former prime minister late Girija Prasad Koirala.

The Maoist chief has moved into the building owned by his close family friend Sharada Prasad Adhikary, who is the director of Sailung Construction Pvt Ltd.  Also an advisor to the Federation of Contractors Association of Nepal, Adhikary has been included in the PR list of CPN (Maoist Centre) for the HoR.
