The situation turned tense after the police tried to clear the road. The police used six shells of tear gas to take the situation under control, informed local Sanjay Neupane.
Earlier on December 31, Fulmaya Taman, 37, of Namobuddha Municipality-1 succumbed to her injuries after being hit by a passenger bus, Ba 3 Kha 5955, operated by Sagarmatha Yatayat. She was receiving medical treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital where she breathed her last.
The victim’s kin and locals resorted to protest after a meeting held at the District Administration Office on Monday, to compensate the deceased’s family members, failed to forge an agreement.
