Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, NMA has expressed sadness over the incident of Dr KC’s arrest. Dr KC is the lifelong member of NMA, the umbrella organisation of Medical and Dental Doctors in Nepal.
“Dr KC’s arrest by the police from the TUTH premises has shocked the NMA,” read the statement issued by NMA General Secretary Dr Lochan Karki, “The NMA expresses grave sadness over the incident.”
Stating that Dr KC, through his hunger strike, has been successful in bringing about positive change in the medical and health sector that has led to ease of medical access to general people, improvement in the quality of medical and health sector, the NMA has demanded the immediate release of Dr KC.
