The Mahendrapul-based PSM Art Gallery is currently hosting an art exhibition featuring artworks created during a one-day workshop held at World Peace Pagoda in Pumdi Bhumdi village. On show are works by 35 artists hailing from the Province 4.
The works on display were created on the spot by the participating artists, and a majority of the paintings have as their subject the Peace Pagoda itself, alongside Gautam Buddha, landscape paintings of nature, and portraits.
Speaking to the Post, artist Buddhi Gurung said that the workshop was fruitful not only because it provided an opportunity to play with the artistic instinct but also “working in a group also helped exchange ideas and both juxtapose and understand one another’s style.”
The exhibition features works by artists Durga Baral ‘Batsyayan’, Ramesh Shrestha, Yadavchandra Bhurtel, Alok Gurung, LP Gurung, Thaman Sunar, and Manoj Tamang, among others.
The exhibition will conclude on Wednesday.
