Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal (SSFN) Parliamentary Party leader of Province 2 Mohammad Lal Babu Raut has laid claim to the post of Chief Minister (CM).
Province Chief Ratna Lal Kayastha will appoint the Chief Minister today.
He claimed the CM post with a recommendation letter of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN).
SSFN and RJPN had forged an alliance in the Province 2 after none of the parties mustered majority votes.
SSFN Saroj Yadav has already been picked as the Speaker of Province 2.
Following a meeting of the top leaders of the two parties, Raut was given the recommendation letter through Parliamentary Party leader Jitendra Sonal.
