While updating Oli on the progress made by the panel, the visiting British minister said a joint technical team of British government and ex-Gurkhas is working on to resolve various aspects of perks, pension and remuneration of serving Nepalis and ex-army men in the British Army. He also congratulated Oli for left alliance’s victory at the recently held elections and his imminent elevation to the post of Nepal’s prime minister.
According to the Oli’s private secretariat, the British minister said the recent elections in Nepal have shown Nepal is heading towards forming a stable government where the UK is interested in making more investments in Nepal. “The UK believes investment-friendly environment will happen soon in Nepal following stable political conditions,” the statement issued by Oli’s secretariat reads.
