Constable, journalist injured as IED goes off in Pokhara

According to Kaski Police Chief SP Ashok Singh, Police Constable Kul Bahadur Khatri and journalist Ghanashyam Pandey sustained minor injuries as the IED exploded.
SP Singh informed that journalist Pandey went too close to the IED to take a picture and in doing so the camera flash triggered the explosive.
Both the injured have been taken to Gandaki Medical College for further medical treatment.
Likewise, a team of Nepal Army bomb disposal squad conducted a controlled explosion to defuse two suspicious objects found in Nagdhunga and Peace Temple in Pokhara.
The police have suspected that the IED may have been placed by Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist cadres amid the ongoing general strike.
