Leaders said that the talks with SSFN are ‘very positive’ but failed to seal on written deal on Wednesday due to illness of the Prime Minister Oli.
During the meeting, PM Oli complained of fever and asked leaders to conclude the talks on Thursday morning. “After PM’s complaints, we decided to sit together on Thursday. The talks are heading in positive directions and likely to seal a deal on tomorrow,” said senior Maoist leader, Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
He said the leaders have agreed to incorporate the constitution amendment process “as per the necessity and for the broader wellbeing of the country and the people,” in the understanding paper.
We did not talk much about power sharing issues like allocation of the ministries, larger agendas and objectives of the government and other grievances to be put forth by the SSFN, said Shrestha.
PM Oli, Chairman of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of the SSFN, Upendra Yadav and other top leaders and ministers were present in the meeting.
