A presidium meeting of the party held at its office in Babarmahal, Kathmandu, on Monday termed the proposal as positive and decided to initiate dialogues with all the sides on the matter.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday invited coordinator of RJPN Presidium Mahanta Thakur and held discussions for about two hours in the wake of reports that the party was disappointed by the government’s efforts to bring only Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal on board. In the meeting, PM Oli had reportedly urged RJPN to join the government and contribute for the country’s prosperity.
Following the meeting between Thakur and PM Oli, RJPN held a meeting at its office to discuss the proposal. The meeting also discussed the issue of constitution amendment. “Our main agenda is constitution amendment,” said Bhandari, “If the government is positive about our issue, we are always ready.”
He said the party could lend support to address the issue of Madhes either by joining or staying outside the government.
The party has concluded that the government of Province 2 wouldn’t be affected even though Upendra Yadav led Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal joins govt.
