The students vandalised six CCTV cameras and tore down the wires connecting them in front of the police as they could not cheat during the exams, informed Exam Centre Chief Rajlal Rae.
Meanwhile, Police Inspector Jugeshwor Raut, who is deployed at the exam centre, said that they came to know about students’ destroying the CCTV cameras later on as they were checking examinees at the main gate.
Ward Chairman Ganesh Chaudhary had installed the CCTV cameras worth Rs60,000 so as to make the SEE disciplined.
“The CCTV cameras were destroyed in the presence of the police,” said Chairman Chaudhary, “This incident lets us know how the examinations are being conducted.”
