Tip Top, Grand Academy record wins

Grand Academy Riders and Tip Top XI recorded emphatic wins in the Marwadi  Premier League Twenty20 cricket tournament at the TU Stadium on Tuesday.

Grand Academy beat Onemix XI by seven wickets. Onemix scored 128 in 19.5  overs before Grand Academy overcame the total for the loss of three  wickets in 15 overs.

Onemix lost opener Bikash Agarwal (1) cheaply but Raunik Ninda, Murari  Thakur and Sagar Dhakal lifted the team to a respectable total. Thakur  scored 31-ball 39 with three boundaries and a six, while Ninda made 30  and Dhakal chipped in with 23. Gaurav Sethia took 4-22 while Prashant Jain and Aryan Prasain took one wicket  each for Grand  Academy.

Grand Academy lost Sethia (3) and Sudhir Chaudhary (0) cheaply but  skipper Ashish Agarwal (64) and Sumit Kadmiya (49) steered the team to  victory. Man-of-the-match Ashish struck 10  fours and a six in his 41-ball knock while Kadmiya slammed three sixes  and as many fours in his 33-ball unbeaten cameo.

In another match, Tip Top hammered Sikhar Ply Kings by nine wickets.  Sumit Sharma ensured an easy win with a six wicket haul to  restrict Kings to 54 in 14.3 overs. Apart from Bhoj Raj Bhatta (16) none of the other Kings batsmen were able to  score in double figures.

Tip Top lost opener Yogesh Sawarthiya (0) early on but skipper Amol  Sharma and Aschal Chaudhary chased down the target in 6.1 overs.  Chaudhary slammed 14-ball 24 while Sharma scored 25 off 21 deliveries.
