“We have no luxury to backtrack on our decision,” said Thapa, adding that an environment for the government to move ahead boldly had been created as it tries to “fulfil people’s aspirations with sincerity”. “For nation’s development and prosperity, the syndicate system must end.”Stating that putting an end to the transport syndicate was just a beginning, he said the government was working to ban cartels in other sectors too.
