"I will be visiting Nepal on 11th and 12th May at the invitation of PM KP Sharma Oli. This visit reflects the high priority India attaches to friendly relation with Nepal," Modi wrote in a tweet.
“Apart from Kathmandu, I will visit Janakpur and Muktinath during my visit to Nepal,” PM Modi said.
He said that these are vibrant centres of pilgrimage of tourism and testimony to the strong cultural ties that bind the two nations.
As Nepal ushered into a new era of consolidating the gains of a democracy and achieving economic growth, he said that India remains a steadfast partner of the Nepal Government to implement their vision of ‘Samriddha Nepal, Sukhi Nepali' (Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali ).
“Together, our two countries have completed several bilateral connectivity and development projects in the last few years, and have initiated transformational initiatives for the benefit of both our citizens,” he wrote in his Facebook page.
“I am looking forward to meeting the political leaders and friends in Nepal. I am confident that my visit will further cement our people-centric partnership with Nepal on the basis of mutual benefit, goodwill and understanding,” he further said.
