Indian PM Modi arrives in Kathmandu
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Kathmandu on Friday.Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Kathmandu on Friday. He was welcomed by Minister for foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
After taking rest for a while at the Boudha-based Hotel Hyatt, where he will be staying, he will then leave for Tundikhel to receive a Guard of Honour.
The visiting Indian PM would pay courtesy call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun today itself.
On top of that, he will hold one-on-one meeting with his Nepali counterpart KP Sharma Oli at Battisputali-based Hotel Dwarika.
Before leaving for Kathmandu, PM Modi had visited Janakpur. The visiting Indian PM arrived in Janakpur in an Indian Airlines airplane at 10:40am today.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli welcomed his Indian counterpart Modi on the premises of Janaki Temple in Janakpur.
He offered a special worship at the Janaki Temple and attended a civic reception programme at Bahrabigaha in Janakpur.
Modi arrived in Nepal on a two-day state visit at the cordial invitation of PM KP Sharma Oli.
