Three workers were killed in separate incidents here in Bajhang district. Two labourers died after being struck by a bounder at a road construction site, and another one died while digging the ground for laying drinking water pipe.

Junkiri Chadara, 28, of Taklakot Rural Municipality-3, and Nira Rokaya, 45, of the same village, died after a huge boulder hit them while working at Basti-Rupatola stretch of Chainpur  Taklakot road. Severely wounded after the incident, the duo died on their way to hospital for treatment on Thursday evening, police said.

In another incident, Bishnu Bhakta Upadhyay, 60, of Jaya Prithvi Municipality-4, died after he fell off a cliff while he was digging the earth for laying water supply pipe. He died on the spot after he fell some 400 meters.
