The pilgrims to the holy site at Nepal-China border were affected due to landlides caused by incessant rains.
District Police Office, Humla, said Narayanam Leela, 56, of Kerela died at his hotel in Simikot, Humla, and Satya Laxmi of Andra Pradesh died at Taklakot in Tibet.
Leela died suddenly at his hotel as he returned after visiting Mansarovar, while Laxmi died in Taklakot, informed DSP Rabin Shrestha. Humla police informed eight Indian pilgrims have died this year in Mansarovar.
Indian foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, in a series of tweet, said over 1,500 Indian pilgrims are stranded in Nepal and Tibet and they have requested Government of Nepal and local authorities for army helicopters to evacuate stranded Indians and provide them with necessary assistance.
The Indian side has also set up health check facilities for elderly citizens and hotlines to provide information about stranded pilgrims.
