Speaking at a programme organised to honour Dharmendra Jha, former president of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) with Dayashankar Palikhe Memorial National Journalism Award, 2074, Minister Banskota said that the laws would also have a provision of providing advertisements to small-scale media.
He also said that the government was planning to regulate social networking sites to stop their misuse. Earlier, Minister Banskota presented Rs 33,333 cash and a felicitation letter to Jha, the recipient of this year’s Daya Shanker Palikhe Memorial National Journalism Award.
The award was established by the family of Daya Shanker Palikhe, the foremost democratic leader of Pokhara, and is run by FNJ, Kaski. (RSS)
