Addressing a programme organised by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in Parsa, Birgunj, on Tuesday, the former Prime Minister said that they had asked suggestions from the lower level till August 10 and based on that suggestions the party will be unified from central to local level within August 21.
The Chairman clarified that he held a discussion with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday about filling the vacant posts in the constitutional bodies.
Dahal said, “I also discussed with the PM about forming other constitutional bodies as mentioned in the constitution. The PM will give them full shape soon.”
Saying that the post of Chief Justice will not remain vacant, he said that the decision of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) made on the basis of complaints filed at the PHC will be the final verdict.
“We formed the Parliamentary Hearing Committee with an aim to establish integrity of the Parliament. That is why, it will depend on the complaints and discussions made by the lawmakers,” he said, adding, “There is a debate that the Parliament should endorse the recommendation made by the Constitutional Council while there is another debate that lawmakers should be given authority to investigate fairly into the complaints filed at the PHC to establish integrity of the Parliament. We gave priority to the integrity of the Parliament and establish it.”
