Tension ran high in Rapti Community Hospital, Rukum, after a patient died during the course of treatment on Monday.

Relatives and family members of Kamal Rawal, 27, of Triveni Rural Municipality-9 vandalised the hospital by pelting stones, at Salle in Musikot Municipality-1 following Rawal’s death this morning.

Rawal was admitted to the hospital on Saturday following complaints of headache and bodyache.

Rawal’s relatives blame negligence on the part of doctor for Rawal’s death. They claim that he was injected with a wrong injection which led to his death.

Relative Laxman Rawal said Rawal had reached the hospital on foot for treatment but died minutes after he was administered an injection.

Police personnel have been mobilised at the hospital following the incident.
