There’s nothing more to discuss: KC
Dr Govinda KC on Wednesday abandoned the meeting on medical education bill called by the Education and Health Committee of Parliament.Dr Govinda KC on Wednesday abandoned the meeting on medical education bill called by the Education and Health Committee of Parliament.
“I have accepted the call because I respect the committee and I am sure that the demands will be implemented. Since the demands have been discussed over and over again, I will not be discussing it again,” Dr KC told the committee members.
The committee, tasked with addressing the demands of Dr KC, has been holding discussions with various health experts and stakeholders. “Dr KC was invited to discuss some vague topics as we have been facing some difficulties to implement the demands,” Khagaraj Adhikari, a member of the committee, told the Post. “But he ignored our request and left the meeting without any further discussion.”
Dr KC ended his 15th hunger strike on July 26 after the government had agreed to implement his nine-point demands on the 27th day of his fast. A month has passed since the agreement and Dr KC has been critical about the government’s pace to implement the demands and pass the bill.
