Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who had been hospitalised since Monday, has recovered well and is all set to be discharged from the hospital on Friday evening.
He was admitted to Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre (MCVT) at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, early Monday morning after he complained of chest pain and breathing difficulty.
Executive Director at MCVT Dr Uttam Krishna Shrestha said Oli has fully recovered and the hospital discharge paper has been prepared. He will return to his official residence in Baluwatar.
He was admitted to coronary care unit of the hospital at 4:30 am on Monday. A team of doctors led by senior cardiologist Dr ArunShayami treated him for lower respiratory tract infection and low blood count and sugar level.
He was attended by Dr Divya Singh Shah and chest physician Dr Santakumar Das.
