I expect generous support from neighbouring countries, PM Oli tells Chinese minister

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said that he has expectation for generous support from Nepal’s friendly nations to take the country on the path of prosperity and development.

In a meeting with visiting Chinese Minister of Tourism and Culture Luo Shugangin Kathmandu on Wednesday, PM Oli also said that Nepal is heading on the path of economic development and prosperity.

“We expect support from the countries that are friends with Nepal to achieve the objective of prosperity. Particularly, we have expectations from our neighbouring countries,”said PM’s foreign affairs advisor Rajan Bhattarai, quoting the PM as telling the Chinese Minister.

The Prime Minister also reminded that Nepal and China have age-old diplomatic relations.

“We are the neighbours living across the border of the same mountain and drinking water of the same source,” PM Oli said, adding, “We are also close in terms of geography, culture, life style and people-to-people relationship.”

Meanwhile, the Chinese Minister said that his country is preparing to bring in maximum number of tourists during Visit Nepal 2020.

The Chinese Minister said the number of tourists has increased this year in comparison to last year.

“Chinese people are very keen to observe the culture and tradition of Nepal,” the Chinese Minister said.
