Karma Tsering Sherpa, the current president, faction clean-swept the election ending the stranglehold of disgraced former boss Ganesh Thapa for good.

Other three district association presidents--Gautam Sukhaju (Bhaktapur), Dipak Khatiwada (Dhading) and Purusottam Thapa (Lalitpur) were also present on the occasion.
The audio tape consists of conversation of the honorary president Tashi Ghale, general secretary Indraman Tuladhar, treasurer Rabindra Man Joshi, executive members Madhu Sudhan Upadhyaya and Dawa Ghale. In the recordings they have spoken about financial dealings during the election, which Shahi claimed was against the rules.
The recording of audio tape involves president Sherpa of funding Rs 150,000 for a trip to Banke FA president Bhojraj Shahi, who held the voting rights in the election. Besides that, conversation also include financial transactions worth millions of amounts that was spent to influence election besides facilitating air tickets to voting delegates.
According to Lalitpur president Thapa, the audio have the evidence of influencing election committee and voters through financial transactions. He also alleged the Sherpa-led faction of trying to influence court through ‘money’ as what they claim the conversation between general secretary Tuladhar and honorary president Ghale suggests.
