All new Hyundai Santro zooms into Nepal

There are four trims of the all new Santro—Magna, Magna AT, Sportz and Asta. The base trim Magna starts at Rs2.496 million.
Powering the all new Santro is a 1.1 litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 69 horses and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Customers can also opt for the smart auto AMT gearbox option.
Hyundai has loaded the Santro with features such as a rear parking camera, ORVM with electronic adjustment and turn indicators, fog lamps, micro antenna and a 7-inch audio video system with smartphone connectivity, voice recognition and navigation, reads the press release.
The hatchback also gets an advanced cluster with multi information display, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, power outlet and USB ports, rear AC vents, rear washer and wiper along with keyless entry.
Apart from the practical additions such as space for keeping idols, rear seat bench foldability, map pocket with space for a one litre bottle, Hyundai has also gone above and beyond to ensure that the all new Santro is safe for the driver and passengers. The all new Santro comes with dual front airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS) with EBD as standard on all trims. It also gets speed sensing auto door lock and impact sensing auto door unlock, front seatbelt pretensioners with load limiters and a rear defogger.
Speaking at the unveiling of the all new Santro, Rupesh Sharma Bhatta, GM of Laxmi Intercontinental said, “We are extremely happy to bring back Nepal’s most loved hatchback. The previous model of Santro was able to win the hearts of the customers across Nepal and we hope that the new Santro will also be able to become a landmark product.”
The all new Santro is positioned as a family car with 235 litres of boot space, 165mm of ground clearance and a fuel tank capacity of 35 litre. It also features a spacious cabin with easy ingress/egress.
