PDCN representative Namit Bahadur Thapa and Kangaroo Chief Executive Officer Mahesh Babu Timalsina signed the memorandum of understanding during a programme in Kathmandu on Friday. According to the deal, Kangaroo will sponsor the cash prize to be received by the champions of the tournament.
The consultancy will also assist the organisation in keeping statistics and records of the entire tournament. National team skipper Sadish Pradhan thanked Kangaroo for providing a much-needed support to the tournament.
Timalsina lauded the effort from PDCN. "This tournament carries a significance which has the capability of changing the fortunes of Nepali basketball. I hope this keeps getting bigger and better," said Timalsina. PDCN said details of the tournament will be made public in due course.
