Neetesh Jung Kunwar will collaborate with British electronic music band Clean Bandit for a song as part of the upcoming edition of Tuborg OPEN, a platform “to encourage people to be open… by pushing the boundaries of what they know and like.”
The last edition of the show saw musicians Diplo, MO, Bipul Chettri and Laure collaborate for a song titled ‘Stay Open’.
Neetesh Jung Kunwar broke into the Nepali music scene with 2017’s hit ‘Gedai Jasto Jindagi’, which has so far been viewed over 4.5 million times. Since then he has dropped songs frequently on his YouTube channel. Only this week, Kunwar released two guitar-driven ballads, ‘Maya Sasto’ and ‘Hearty Maya’. Kunwar’s YouTube channel has close to 500,000 subscribers, making him one of the most popular singers in the scene today.
Clean Bandit, on the other hand, is a British trio that fuses elements from genres ranging from classical and pop to electropop. Their latest album, What Is Love?, was nominated for Top Dance/Electronic Album category at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
“This search for discovery is like putting a playlist ‘on shuffle’, allowing music fans to open their minds to new and diverse experiences,” reads a release issued by the organisers.
