Nepal Police has said the search for missing Princzkel Thomas, a Hungarian-speaking Slovakian citizen, is under way. The Slovak cyclist has been missing for more than a week after he reportedly went on a trek to the Everest region. He was last seen in Dingboche on April 21.

According to Badri Thapa, DSP in Solukhumbu, a search unit of five personnel has been deployed since Sunday. However, the unit has yet to receive any clue of his whereabouts. Police said they even circulated the photo to other offices. A helicopter with the son of a Slovak honorary consul in Kathmandu on board was deployed to search for him on April 25-26.

The last time Thomas was tracked was when he stayed at a local hotel in Dingboche on April 20. On April 22, he was not found in his room. The hotel owner notified the police suspecting his disappearance. The police then entered the room, only to find his personal belongings.
