Nepal, Czech Republic in cooperation agreement

The Finance Ministry and the Czech Ministry of Trade and Industry are scheduled to sign an agreement on economic cooperation on Thursday. A business delegation led by Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jan Mládek is arriving on an official visit to Nepal on Thursday.

The team comprises of nearly 30 representatives of various Czech companies and members of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, Czech Export Bank and Czech Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi said in a press release that the agreement on economic cooperation would lay the ground for enhancement of mutual relations in business and investment.

The document will also be of great significance for future exchange of visits of business delegations from both the countries and the future establishment of a joint commission for economic cooperation. It will help to promote Czech investment and set up a base for further Czech business engagement in Nepal.

Likewise, Czech Minister Mládek and Minister of Commerce Sunil Bahadur Thapa will inaugurate the Czech Republic-Nepal Business Forum on Exploring Opportunities Doing Business with the Czech Republic” during the meet.
