According to Umesh Prasad Gautam, technical officer at the National Seismological Centre, the epicenter of the quake with at least two aftershocks at 7.44pm was at the bordering area of Parbat and Myagdi districts. The quake prompted locals to run for cover in open fields and other safe locations. The quake was also felt strongly in Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi and
surrounding districts.
According to Superintendent of Police Basanta Kumar Lama, they have not received any information regarding damage of property due to the
earthquake.
However, Pabita Garbuja of Nadipur has reportedly been injured while running for cover, locals said.
