Galli Salliharuma at Photo Circle
Mar 17, 2015-
Katha Satha, a forum which fosters public writing and storytelling in Kathmandu, is back with their public writing project—Galli Salliharuma. The two-day workshop is scheduled for March 20 and 21 between 11am to 1pm at the Photo Circle office in Jhamsikhel. The workshop will primarily focus on creating a site-specific write up.
Under the guidance of Muna Gurung (a writer and an educator who received her MFA from Columbia University) and Shitu Rajbhandari (a Fulbright scholar who received her MFA from Naropa University, Colorado), participating writers will be encouraged to share their personal stories, poems or any past happenings related to the gallis of Kathmandu.
After a number of brainstorming and revision sessions, the participants will be guided through a structured set of writing prompts that will help them design a creative piece on their own. While the participants can choose between Nepali and English, a majority of instructions will be conveyed in English.
The number of available seats is limited as only 12 participants will be accepted for the project. Today is the last day for the submission of the application forms.
