The distribution programme was organised by the International Red Cross Society. The actor was also accompanied by a Chinese Red Cross team.

Chan distributed relief material to the earthquake victims in Jawalakhel and Chyasal. In Jawlakhel, Chan distributed relief items to the disabled people. The Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai had accompanied Chan in his visits. According to a press statement released by Nepal Red Cross Society, Chan said: “I would like to thank you all for giving me this opportunity to come here and help out.” The relief kit that was distributed included 5,000 sets of raincoats, blankets, sleeping bags and other items for household use.
