ECAN fair concludes with overwhelming participation

The ninth international education fair organised by Educational Consultancy Association Nepal (ECAN) concluded with overwhelming participation on Sunday.
As many as 155,000 students and parents visited the four-day fair held in the exhibition hall at Bhrikutimanap. The fair which was attended by around 20,000 people in the inaugural day on Thursday, more than doubled the next day with 45,000 and further increased to 60,000 on Saturday. The number of visitors stood at 30,000 in the concluding day, with organisers terming the education fair a grand success.
The education fair was beneficial for students who wanted to gather information regarding higher studies in India, China, the UK, Bangladesh, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Malaysia among others. The students were provided with an opportunity to directly interact with representatives of renowned universities and colleges.
According to the organiser, the mega fair was very handy for students to get the latest information about what is being provided across the world.
Students had the opportunity to compare the education and scope of particular courses in different academic institutions.
The were 200 stalls and five pavilions set in the exhibition hall.
During the fair, Ashish Tamang, an earthquake victim from Sindhupalchok, was offered a full scholarship to study till Grade 12 by Brilliant Education and Career Council.
The Antek Treasury Group from New Zealand also announced to provide scholarship to some of the students to study in New Zealand.
The visitors also had the opportunity of free health and dental check up provided by Manmohan Memorial Hospital and Kantipur Dental Hospital respectively. Exhibitors and supporters of the fair were felicitated in the concluding ceremony.
