Smugglers shut Nepalgunj-Rupaidiha border
BANKE: The Nepalgunj-Rupaidiha border point was briefly disrupted after some smugglers obstructed the passage after they were barred from bringing in fuel on Thursday. However, police used excessive force to disperse them from the no-man’s-land. They obstructed the border after the local administration imposed restrictions on fuel smuggled from across the border. Assistant Sub-inspector Hari Bahadur Gurung of the Area Police Post, Jamunaha, said the smugglers who tried to obstruct the border fled to the Indian territory after police action. (PR)
