Health of Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato, who is undergoing treatment at the Haryana-based Medanta Hospital, is improving gradually, doctors said.
Mahato has been admitted to the Orthopaedic Trauma Unit for the past four days. Doctors attending to him said he has Vitamin D deficiency and needs nutritious food to regain strength.
Mahato was injured during a clash between cadres of the Madhesi Morcha and police personnel at the Biratnagar-Jogbani border on December 26. He was flown to New Delhi on January 1.
“Leader Mahato is getting better slowly. He has been advised not to do anything such as hunger strike that stresses his body,” Dr Subhanka Singh told the Post.
