The exhibition showcases works of artists Narendra Bahadur Shrestha, Nagendra Pd Paudyal, Devendra Thumkeli, Keshab Raj Khanal and Anita Khanal Bhattarai.
“The exhibition aims to introduce a collection, which implies the coordination of creative impulse, dedication and the underlying context. Through the medium of art, attempt is being made to depict the society and the contextual realities it produces,” says Narendra Bahadur Shrestha, Exhibition Coordinator.
The underlying concept of the exhibition, and the artworks present, is to acknowledge and imply solidarity, by bringing together five talented artists on the same forum, and with them viewers, who will be joining in from various walks of life. “The artists have resented the images of the contemporary society in a creative way through the medium of colours that correspond with the depth of feelings. The paintings of all the five artists participating in this exhibition have made attempts to present emotional urges by means of colours. We hope this exhibition will add at least a brick in the array of Nepali art and painting scene,” adds Shrestha.
The exhibition is organised by Jara Foundation, a social institution established in 2006, working for the promotion of education, identification and support to less privileged students, promotion of art, literature, culture and social scenario at large. The exhibition will continue till April 5.
