VP concerned by slow quake recovery works
Apr 2, 2016-
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has expressed his grave concern over the delay in post-quake reconstruction tasks, though nearly a year has passed since the earthquake struck the country last April.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Inter-district Conference of Federation of Computer Association Nepal in Kavre on Friday, Pun urged speedy reconstruction works. He said that he has also drawn the prime minister’s attention to this matter.
“A monsoon and a winter have already passed and another monsoon is at the threshold. Yet people are forced to live under zinc sheets,” he said.”
Vice President Pun said even donor agencies and the friend nations that had extended their support after the earthquake are displeased with the slow recovery works.
