The students excelled in English Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Business. Forty eight students from Nepal, including five world toppers who had outstanding performance between June 2015 and November 2015 Cambridge examination series will be awarded amid a programme next week, British Council said in a statement on Friday. The event will be attended by Michael O’Sullivan, chief executive of Cambridge International Examinations, and Ruchira Ghosh, South Asia regional director of Cambridge.
The awards also celebrates the achievements of those learners who have been recognised for ‘High Achievement’ based on outstanding performance in subjects which are not yet so widely taken in Nepal, and learners who have achieved the total highest cumulative marks across a number of subjects, according to the statement.
“The winning learners outperformed thousands of candidates worldwide who sat for Cambridge International AS & A Level examinations,” read the statement.
