An elaborate exhibition—titled Kitabsanga Jeewanka Rangharu (Colours of Life in Books)—has commenced at the Marwadi Sewa Sadan in Biratnagar. The exhibition has been organised by the Kathmandu-based organisation Ghost Writing Nepal. The exhibition constitutes, along with books by different publication houses, paintings and pictures. The exhibition was inaugurated by ex-prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.
The exhibit features books by a total of 150 publications, and boasts both Nepali and international books. The pictures on view at the exhibit are mostly of the late Communist leaders, archived by the Madan Bhandari Memorial Academy.
The exhibition has also conducted a creative writing session aimed for students. During the event, authors and readers will be interacting among each other and the poets will recite poetry, muktaks and gazals.
The exhibition on Monday saw the launch of a book, titled Unmukta Chari, penned by tenth-grader Abhisekh Pokharel, and published by Ghost writing Nepal. The book is a travelogue and features author Pokharel’s musings over a journey to Brazil.
