Joshi-led Newar community backs Gathabandhan

People from the community affiliated to the Newa Manka Struggle Committee (NMSC) reached the protest site on the 26th day of hunger strike to express their solidarity with the ongoing agitation.
“Those who try to stop the people’s revolution will be unsuccessful,” said Joshi addressing the event. He added that the Gathabandhan’s protest will be successful with the help of people of the Newar community.
Welcoming NMSC’s decision, senior leader of the Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal Ashok Rai said, “We have gained confidence because of the solidarity shown by NMSC. Newari people and we believe that the protest will yield positive results.”
Speaking on the occasion, Tarai Madhes Sadbhawana Party senior leader Ram Naresh Raya Yadav expressed his gratitude towards the community. He also added that all people from the mountains, hills and Tarai should unite and protests against the discriminatory provisions of the Constitution.
