Hundreds of students have been forced to discontinue their studies after their schools were hit by the flood in Bhotekoshi River in Tatopani, Kodari, Dashkilo and Barhabise areas of Sindhupalchok district.
Continuous flood since July 5 has swept away five school buildings in the region.
Meanwhile, landslides triggered by torrential rains have threatened at least 15 schools at Tatopani and Kodari.
Mansarovar Boarding School at Tatopani has halted its classes after flood swept away its building. Around 200 students have been hit.
The school founder, Kumar Shrestha, said in some places, flood and landslide threats have displaced their entire inhabitants. He said it was too early to tell when the classes would resume, with the school building destroyed and many students forced to flee their homes.
The Bhotekoshi flood has also impacted the classes of Tatopani Lower Secondary School and Kodari Higher Secondary School.
District Education Officer Rudrahari Bhandari said the schools affected by floods and landslides have to be relocated for the classes to resume.
